Founder & Director
She has specialised in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) for the past 16 years. During this period Jacqueline successfully introduced and mentored the development of the IB PYP in the International School of Zug and Luzern, a large International School in Switzerland.
Jacqueline is also trained as an IB school head for the IB MYP and IB Diploma programmes.
This experience gained her the trust and respect of the many schools she has been invited to visit by the International Baccalaureate, as an official consultant, workshop leader and team leader on Authorisation and Evaluation Visits.
Jacqueline enjoys an excellent international reputation for advising and mentoring schools and teachers in curriculum and pedagogical practice through official IB school visits, IB curriculum development initiatives, and her active role in local and global IB teaching and learning communities.

Tobin’s Journey to ISOCS: I have 20 years international school experience as a school leader, administrator and teacher. I most recently worked as Deputy Director / Secondary School Principal at the International School of Berne. Before, I worked in IB (International Baccalaureate) leadership roles at other prestigious international schools. I am collaboratively leading the development of our secondary school in implementing the International Baccalaureate MYP and Diploma Programmes and extending to an accredited, locally and globally connected, international school for students aged 3-18.

Hazel’s Journey to ISOCS: 15 years have passed since I first stepped into a classroom as a newly qualified and very nervous teacher! During these past 15 years, I have worked in both the state and private sector, in rural schools and city schools. I have had various leadership roles over the past 10 years, most recently as Head of Studies in JFK in Saanen-Gstaad. Some of my ideas (and ideals!) have changed since that first day but time has only served to strengthen my belief that there is no point to our role as teachers and education leaders if it is not to ultimately do our part to create a better world. We are here to be the best global citizens we can be and to inspire our students to grow and develop so that they can thrive in and make a positive contribution to our challenging 21st century world. I am very excited to be part of the ISOCS team and in an IB World School where this philosophy underpins everything we do.
Past Experiences: Trained and experienced in teaching an enquiry based curriculum following the British National Curriculum of England from Reception up to Year 6 at one of the leading British International Schools in Kuala Lumpur. Experienced in Special Needs Education as Learning Support Teacher.

Admira’s Journey to ISOCS: After living in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) for over 6 years I decided to come back and be closer to my family. I used to live in Zürich as well as Lugano and always felt welcomed in Switzerland. In addition, I am very active and love sports thus, Switzerland is the best fit as it offers the most amazing outdoors activities.

Karla’s Journey to ISOCS: Karla recently joined the ISOCS team to familiarize herself to the teaching world. She is passionate about working with kids and is glad to have the opportunity to be in the K/1 class.
Past Teaching Experiences: I started my teaching career as an EAL teacher in Spain and Cambodia and then as an educational facilitator for young underprivileged adults in Honduras. I especially love working with children which I have been doing for the last 20 years.

Sandra’s Journey to ISOCS: I love travelling and have been fortunate enough to have taught in very different countries and cultures. I started primary teaching in Scotland and then moved to Uganda where I first encountered the IB curriculum. Teaching is my passion and I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to join the warm, caring and dynamic team at ISOCS as a Primary teacher.

Past Experiences: I have been teaching Primary for ten years. I spent the last two years teaching at an international school in Germany. Before that, I taught in both private and public schools in the US.
Sheryl’s Journey to ISOCS: I just moved to Switzerland this summer with my Swiss husband. As a teenager I lived in England and attended an international school, so I can relate to some of the experiences of my students. I am really excited to join the staff here and find a new home away from home.

Kamran’s Journey to ISOCS: I am very excited to be part of ISOCS as the Assistant Head of the High School and in my role of ensuring the success of the IB Diploma programme. Armando’s Journey to ISOCS: Once I completed the degree of engineering physics, I started teaching mathematics and physics to the youngest generations of undergraduate students. Later on, when I finished the PhD, I had my first opportunity to teach in an international school at ITESM. At that moment I decided to become a full-time teacher, although the possibility to do research took me to Zurich. Two years later, an international school in Italy gave me the chance to teach again. This experience was brief as Switzerland offered a new opportunity to develop a research project. But once this was over, I could not think of a job that I wanted to do more than teaching. Fortunately, ISOCS opened its doors.

Elena’s Journey to ISOCS: I moved to Zug five years ago and took a pause in my teaching career to take care of my two children. I decided to rejoin the workforce and was introduced to the founder of ISOCS as I was doing my job search. Ana’s Journey to ISOCS: Ana is a professional artist in addition to a passionate teacher, having won national awards for painting in Spain. Her work is featured in galleries and private collections in Spain, Portugal, Greece, UK and Switzerland. Parallel to her artistic career, Ana became involved in teaching when she volunteered as a language teacher for migrants in Madrid, carrying on as an assistant teacher at Aiglon College Switzerland, an adult education teacher at Hockerill Anglo-European College UK, and was later trained in teaching IGCSE and IB Diploma at Institut Montana Zugerberg. Now she is happy to be a part of the ISOCS family!

Johana’s Journey to ISOCS: Johana began her career in Human Resources – Staffing. She has experience in staff training and development in both industry and non-profit organizations. She also has a background in Finance. However, she later realized that her true passion is helping students achieve their maximum potential. Accordingly, Johana obtained her teacher certification for Early Childhood through 6th Grade. She believes that students should not only develop their academic skills, but also their emotional and social skills. Therefore, she later obtained the Texas Counselor’s Certificate for Early Childhood through 12th Grade, after completing her Master’s Degree in Education – School Counselling. Johana loves to travel with her family and learn about different cultures.

Leslie’s Journey to ISOCS: I originally arrived in Switzerland to pursue a career change from teaching to hospitality business management, on an intended path of returning home to my family in the States upon graduation.
