Lunches at Teuflibach
The parents of Cham founded a club called ZuKi (Zukunft Kinder: the future of our Children) to provide additional play and creative activities for their children. They have invited ISOCS to be partners in this initiative and we are hosted by them for an optional warm home cooked lunch and outdoor play.
A short healthy walk through the trees behind the school brings us to our own lunch cabin in the woods. We are welcomed by the delicious smell of freshly-cooked, locally-sourced food and in the winter months the warming glow of a real log stove.
Menus are organised by our cook Brigitte, who shares all her family recipes with us and adapts the food plan to student response. Desert is offered on a Friday as a special treat! Lunches cost CHF 11 per day and families can try them and then subscribe a tem at a time. Billing is managed by the ZuKi club and is run as a service. Any profit realised goes towards the maintenance of the club.
A few students choose to bring their own lunches and eat their picnic with us in the cabin.
ZuKi Teuflibach also offers our families’ afterschool adventure clubs on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, full day holiday care and many invitations to join in with local events and activities and to integrate into our local community.
