ISOCS First Family Ski Day
ISOCS’ first Family Ski Day was held last Saturday and was a resounding success. The weather could have been slightly more cooperative (it provided lots of new powder snow but the downside was reduced visibility) but spirits were not dampened as more than 50 parents and students took to the slopes at Klewenalp. At the highest point on the mountain, we were even treated to sunshine as we emerged from the fog.
Our meal together at lunch was hugely enjoyable; so much so that some parents found it too difficult to tear themselves away from the restaurant to brave the elements again. But the vast majority of people were back out there on the slopes and the skiing continued right up to the end of the day.
The strong community spirit that characterizes our school was responsible for the success of this event, and the feedback was so positive that this is sure to become an annual outing.
