The International School of Central Switzerland is an IB World School*.
ISOCS is officially authorised by the International Baccalaureate for both the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). We have candidate status for Middle Years Programme (MYP).
Our teachers are active members in IB initiatives, such as:
- Both the Secondary and Primary leaders are IB workshop leaders and team leaders for school visits
- School leaders have been trained as heads and administrators of all three IB programmes (PYP, MYP and DP).
- We help to coordinate the Swiss Primary and Secondary heads group meetings.
- PYP Threads an online PYP forum with thousands of members worldwide (founder and facilitator)
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
