The International Baccalaureate (IB) “is a non-profit educational foundation, motivated by its mission, focused on the student.

There are four IB programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

Founded in 1968, the IB currently works with 3,668 schools in 146 countries to develop and offer four challenging programmes to over 1,133,000 students aged 3 to 19 years.” (source: www.ibo.org)

Only schools authorized by the IB can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate).

Our teachers are active members in IB initiatives such as

  • the Swiss PYP Coordinators Group,
  • PYP Threads an online PYP forum with thousands of members worldwide (founder and facilitator)
  • and the provision of PYP best practice workshops and school visits to IB candidate schools and IB World schools.
