IB World School – International School of Central Switzerland
The International School of Central Switzerland is an IB World School.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) “is a non-profit educational foundation, motivated by its mission, focused on the student.
There are four IB programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

Only schools authorized by the IB can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate).
Our teachers are active members in IB initiatives such as
- the Swiss PYP Coordinators Group,
- PYP Threads an online PYP forum with thousands of members worldwide (founder and facilitator)
- and the provision of PYP best practice workshops and school visits to IB candidate schools and IB World schools.
